Hi, I’m Kayla, the photographer behind Lackey Photos + Co., based in Cypress, Texas. My style leans warm, candid, and a little moody—because I believe the best photos come from real moments that unfold naturally. I love capturing stories in real time, whether it’s an engagement session, senior portraits, lifestyle moments, family memories, or brand imagery that brings a vision to life. Alongside my portrait and lifestyle work, I also specialize in real estate photography, blending creativity with clean, professional visuals.
Outside of photography, I’m a wife and a proud bonus mom to a sweet, energetic five-year-old boy who keeps life full of joy and inspiration. No matter who I’m photographing, my goal is always the same: to create images that feel authentic, meaningful, and true to the story behind them

Yes, travel sessions are available. Please submit an inquiry, and we’ll discuss options and details.
What should we wear for our session?
I recommend choosing outfits that feel comfortable, natural, and true to your style. Neutrals and earthy tones photograph beautifully - think creams, tans, olives, and soft colors that don’t distract from the moment. Avoid loud patterns, logos, or anything too busy, as they can pull focus in photos.
Coordinating rather than matching is best for couples or families; mix textures and complementary colors for a cohesive look. Most importantly, wear something you feel confident in—when you’re comfortable, it shows in the photos! If you need extra help, I’m always happy to offer outfit suggestions or mood-board inspiration for your session.
How long does it take to get our photos?
Mini sessions are usually delivered in 7–10 business days, and full or larger sessions may take 20–30 days so I can give each image the attention it deserves.
